Anyone got any ideas for a maths project?
I have got this STATISTICS maths assignment where I need to obtain 50 sets of data for me to either compare. It can be anything. some examples:

length of ad breaks on different channels
height of people my age

stuff like that.

I want something where I can easily get the data/stats (perferablly on the computer!) and I can compare and make graphs and find the mean, meadian, mode and all that stuff.

Please just give me some ideas I don't care how outrageous they are!

One of the more interesting statistical inference engines I have ever heard of was one that could supposedly tell if you were male or female by which sites you visited most frequently on the internet.

So you could look up the number of male and female users of various social media applications like twitter and facebook. Also you could look at ages and income distribution.

Look at digg. notice that all articles have numbers of people associate with them. Look at twitter every day once per day at a fixed time.

Categorize each of the articles and try to draw conclusions about what interests the most people and why. Hypothesis might be money, sex, politics, religion, music, movies. Or maybe people like the offbeat, weird, or bizarre.

You could do the same for trending topics on propeller or twitter.
