Two trending topics on Twitter at the moment are #SignsYoSonIsGay and #HowToTurnDownAUglyPerson.

Apart from both those topics being grammatically incorrect, they are viciously prejudiced.

I mean, so what if someone is a homosexual? That's their choice, and you should respect it.
And so what if someone who likes you is ugly? Why do looks even matter that much?

I'm so done with all this crap. Why are so many people (and I mean literally thousands, just search either of those tags on Twitter for proof) such disrespectful twits?

Ignorance, mostly. A general disinterest towards understanding. But imo, the best thing you can do is simply be defiantly expressive about the way you want things to be. Don't internalize it so much. Like the Beatles said, "There's no one you can save that can't be saved." Hate the fact that some people hate so much on homosexuals? Then be outwardly supportive and loving towards the homosexuals you know in your life...at least, the ones who aren't jerks

Humor is difficult. Seems you do not get it. Yes, it is disrespectful, most of it is viciously prejudiced, still most of us are able to and do distinguish between bad jokes and reality. I make bad jokes about blonde people, about dumb people and about any minority.

So you can be all gay and ugly if you want to, I still make jokes about ugly lesbian black nazi stewardesses, and apart from that treat you like I treat any other person.
