The best way to get followers is to basically search for like minded people that share the same interests. Once you have a list you can start following them and between 40 & 60 percent will follow you back. I use software from http://www.tweetwhistle.com to do this. You can do it manually but spend a few bucks and let the software do it for you...It's faster and easier.
