Help With Twitter!!!!?

Okay, so I want to make a twitter but I know nothing about it. What are hashtags? Is It fun to have a twitter? Is it like Facebook? Can I upload photos? I literally know nothing about it, so I would like a really long answer (if you can) with all the stuff you know and can do on twitter. I would people who understand and use twitter a lot. Thanks

twitters cool because you can follow celebrities and bands and businesses but also your friends and other people you know. you pretty much sign up and make a twitter name and then you follow people that you want. once you're following someone, whatever they tweet will show up on your 'wall' and you can favorite it, which is like 'liking' on facebook, retweet it, which makes it re-appear on your twitter account for people who follow you to see, or you can reply to it, which sends your reply to the tweet directly to the tweeter. when you compose a tweet, you can add hashtags, which is a # followed by a tag. hashtags are used so that the tag you add in can be searched or clicked on so that other people on twitter can see where else that tag was used. like, say i put a tweet about the beach and i hashtag #ocean or something, then someone can either click on the tag in my tweet or search ocean and then every tweet that has #ocean tagged in it can be seen there. hashtags can also help find people who have the same interests as you and then you can follow them
