is to start a trending topic [it means to get people to tweet it, sort of like a group]
@ is to reply to people's tweets [@justinbieber rt? <<<example] @ is to mention someone's name on twitter [okay, my backup is @something!!<<<<example] [] (arrows) is to "retweet" it mean to tweet the same tweet again followers: people who follow aren't exactly friends, they just see your updates from their home page following: people you follow whos tweets you'll see lists: you'll follow a list [basically a group] it's almost like another little account in your twitter, which is really confusing so i don't use it hope i helped and yes i think this is everything |

There are three primary symbols that are used through Twitter: “@â€, “RTâ€, and “#â€.
The “@†is used to signify when a particular post is addressed to or references someone. The “RT†is short for “ReTweetâ€. You would use “RT†if you wanted to pass on what someone else has already said. The “#†is used to tag an event, meme, or other keyword to group Twitter posts together. This is also known as a “hashtagâ€. This allows people to use http://www.tweetchat.com to “chat†with others by all using the hashtag. For example, I’ve watched Red Sox games with other fans throughout the country, by following and responding to any post that includes #redsox. |
