whats the best way to increase my websites traffic for free?

i just made a website and put a Google ad on there to see if it makes anything decent.
i was wondering how the fastest way to get traffic would be for free...
P.S i know it wont make anything more than 5 bucks a day... i'm simply doing this as a hobbie or experiment you can call it.
