What does it mean when someone types numbers in parentheses in front of something?
I always see posts on facebook, twitter, etc. with numbers in parentheses in front of them,ex: (520) I went to the gas station, I got lost. I was confused and didn't know if it meant anything.

Usually means the area code of a phone number.
