On Twitter you can allow open access to your messages. Therefore, if I posted a message or sent a text message update - would everyone accessing Twitter be shown my message?
P.S. I am aware that there is the option to restrict your profile to your followers only. Ads |

Twitter is a very powerful tool for those who use it right. However those who only logon a few times and then delete their account will never understand the value of anything let alone Twitter.
Each person on Twitter is given their own profile. Here is mine. ===> http://twitter.com/BodyByChocolate As you can see I have posts from other Twitterites that are on my page. They show up their because I chose to "FOLLOW" that person. NOTE: I auto follow everyone and then weed out those who do not follow Twitter etiquette and on occassion find it necessary to block a person if they are being stupid. However, the people I follow only get their posts listed here if they send a public message. You send a public message by putting a @ before the user ID. If you want to send a private message to a given person that would be a direct message which would look like this [D BodyByChocolate]. So, yes, the world can see what you send or you can be more private. Whatever you do I recommend not making your account private as that totally defeats the purpose of Twitter as a whole in my opinion. Hope that helps.
