Reasons why someone should have a twitter account?

I need some good reasons to have a twitter account so i can have one. please help

If you already have Facebook, there is very little need for a Twitter account.
However, if you're like, 12, and your parents won't let you get a Facebook, Twitter is a good option to fall back on. On Twitter, you don't use your real name: just a username. You only have one picture, and that's just your avatar (can be anything you want). It's a good way to keep in touch with old and new friends and see what they're up to.
