How do i convince my parents for me to get a Twitter account?

I asked my parents once and they just cut me off with a painful NO. i guess they don't wanna allow me because i already have Facebook. HELP!! All i wanna do is follow One Direction! But they don't understand

You can't convince them.... Just do it, why should you wait around? If they monitor your email address just create a new one and create a twitter and just protect your tweets and don't have your name or picture on there so if ever they did suspect anything they wouldn't find you! Do One Direction have there tweets sent/linked to there facebook? I'm guessing not, either just make a twitter and not tell them, i would... or just go check what there upto on twitter regularly or last option is getting there tweets sent to your mobile phone for free but think you might have to be a member to do that :/ you text a number or something via the twitter website (nothing else dodgy)! and its all there tweets sent free to your phone, but i can imagine that would be annoying after a while
