What does a yellow star on twitter mean?

I was looking through some of my old tweets and one has a yellow star beside it. What does this mean? I clicked it once and a garbage can showed up underneath it. I clicked it again and it turned white.

The yellow stars are tweets that you've added as your favorite tweets, for whatever reason. They were funny, informative, etc. In your case, apparently accidental. The garbage can is for you to delete that tweet..
