How do you make money from blogging?
I have heard that you can make money from blogging, but i really don't understand the concept. How do you make the money? How much can you make? Is it hard? Is it easy? Is it time consuming? Is it worth it? If you could answer that would be great, thanks.

Blogging to earn money is similar to running a content website. A content website is like Yahoo, or any site that contains information. You are blogging about something you know or are good at and people with an interest in learning more about that topic will search and read blogs and other sites. Say you are really talented at baseball or something, you would blog about baseball, your experiences, tips, actual teams and games etc. The more reader you have, the more money you can make. You can make money from actual blog sites or by making your own website blog and getting advertisers. The more often you blog and the more readers you have, the more money you make. Some of the top bloggers can make a couple million a year, others a few hundred thousand a year, and others just make some extra little cash. It all depends. As far as if it's time consuming, well that depends, if your looking to try and make a lot of money from it, then yes it is. Is it worth it? Well that's up to you and your desire to blog.

You can make money from blogging. It's true if you are able to make many others often come by your blog, for example several hundred thousand people per day. You don't get money directly from that but from the advertising. When you have such a great deal of fans, you will probably be offered to give some parts of your blog space to the companies which want to advertise their product on your blog. Otherwise, you can find and ask them to co-operate. There are some ways to count how much money you will get. It can be a fix amount per month, or it depends on the number of your fan's clicks on their advertisement,etc. Hope you to be a hot blogger.

You can make money from blogging in three ways.

The first and probably most common is ads and/or affiliate links. (ex. adsense) You get paid either when someone clicks on an ad (can be a couple of cents to a couple of dollars), when someone clicks on an ad and buys something (I believe you get a percentage of the sale), or you get paid per impressions (x amount per 1000 impressions), depending on which company you use.

The difficulty of this really varies. This way is time consuming as you have to find a way to get visitors to your blog. The best thing to do is choose a topic you are passionate about and write quality content. Learn as much about SEO as possible. While this is the hardest of the three ways to get started it is in my opinion the best long term. You can build your blog into something great and really make some good money, but only if you are dedicated to all of the work it takes.

The second way is to get paid for reviews or links. The amount depends on the company/product you are linking to or advertising. For more information check out http://www.athomeopps.com

Generally, you have to have an established blog, but you can probably find a company that doesn't require this. You also have to wait for the company to request you put something on your blog. You could get an email from them everyday or you may only get one every few months. I would personally suggest you maximize your earnings by doing both this and earning off of ads.

The third way is to write for someone else's blog. You generally get paid a set amount per post. Again for more information and a list of companies you can blog for check out http://www.athomeopps.com

This is in my opinion the easiest and least time consuming way if you want to make cash quickly. You do generally need to send in sample posts, but this won't take long at all.

I do think it is worth it if you are willing to put a little bit of effort into it. Again choose a topic you love as well as one you think will be profitable. Otherwise you won't be able to commit to it. Good luck.

Blogging is merely a different way to build a Website.

Content is organized by the date and time of its posts, which are what blogs call web pages. Even the word posts suggests time-sensitivity.

Professional bloggers, and professional promoters of blogging, usually fail to mention the dated-content treadmill that they so desperately run upon every day.

What happens when you stop blogging?
You watch your traffic melt away. Because Search Engines know that blog posts are like newspapers... good only for wrapping fish after a few days.

Blogging can also be a strong add-on to a successful, profitable Web site. If you want to build and maintain a newsy or daily thought element to your Web site, for example, add a blog.

Human visitors instinctively know that, too. Most visitors do not want to read 6 month-old news, example a blog post. Theme-Based Content Sites, however, are totally different.

So, Theme-Based Content Sites are more than blogs.

I hope it helps.

Hello Patrick,

Thanks for posting this question.

Infamous, Minh, Belinda, Miss Expert have covered some great topics!

In addition to what they have already covered, here's my 50 cents:

How do you make the money?
>> The best way is to take a course from someone who is already an expert. It'll save you weeks of time, effort and money.

How much can you make?
>> A four or five figure per month income depending on how much effort you put into your blog.

Is it hard? Is it easy?
>> Well, like any new concept it has a learning curve (probably a few days). Once you know the basics, its really easy...

Is it time consuming?
>> Nope. I spend about 30 minutes on my blog every time I post something. Usually two or three times every week.

Is it worth it?
>> Absolutely. Blogs are FREE, and Search engines love them. It is the easiest way to get organic traffic without spending a dime.

Patrick, assuming you want your blog to rake in cash, you're going to have to go about it in the right way. Sure, you could probably manage to make a little bit of money here and there simply via advertisement revenue and by promoting certain offers - but this probably isn't going to bring in the sort of riches that you dream of.

Truth is, if you're set on making as much cash as you can from your blog, you're going to need to ensure that you've covered all your bases and have tweaked them so that every aspect of your money making process is performing in tip top condition.
How do you do that? Well, the best place to start is to look at each ingredient of a successful money making blog individually:

1. Traffic ========
More traffic normally means more sales. At least, it definitely means more potential customers which in turn means that you should be making more sales than previously. Course, traffic is a very wide topic and there are countless ways in which you could generate it - so what you need to do is pursue as many of these as possible.
While you're at it you should also be aware that you're looking for as highly targeted traffic as you can. Using keywords, you should find that you're able to achieve this well.

2. Conversion Rates ========
How many of the potential customers that visit your blog actually end up buying stuff from it? In a nutshell, that's your conversion rate (though it is normally measured as a percentage, i.e. X% meaning X sales per 100 potential customers). Ensuring that your conversion rate is as high as possible is an extremely good idea because it means that you're going to be taking advantage of more of your traffic.

By capitalizing on as much of your traffic as possible, you'll be getting the most out of your efforts, and not 'wasting' any of the traffic you've worked so hard to obtain.

3. Repeat Customers ========
Having made the effort to clinch a sale with one customer, it would be a crying shame if you simply let them leave and never hear from them again. Seeing as they've already bought something from you it means that they are interested in the niche that you're in, and more importantly - they're willing to buy products in that niche!

So if you could just take down their details, you should be able to turn them into repeat customers (or at least stand a good chance of doing so).

Yes, we're talking about list building, though nowadays using things such as Twitter can be just as good. End of the day, the choice is yours so long as you're able to set up some system whereby you can continue to market to your proven buyers.
If you're able to take care of each and every one of these key ingredients, you'll quickly find that you're able to turn your own blog into a successful money making blog too! None of this is really all that tough, and now that you know what you should be looking at, why don't you head over to your own blog and see what you can improve!

========
There's a guy called Jason Gazaway who makes Five Figures from blogs every month. Read about him if you have the time -- http://bit.ly/21da2M

Have a nice weekend!

1.advertising programs such as Google Adsense or Kontera, wherein people click and you get paid

3. Create a product and sell it

You can make how much you want but your effort reflects your results

Is it hard NO

Is it easy yes, HOWEVER it takes time to build traffic or visitors to your site because essentially the more traffic the more peopel clicking or buying

You can use pay per click networks like Google adsense or you can actually be paid to write about specific subjects from sites like payperpost.com. Either way you will need to bring traffic to your blog to make any money.

If you're on Twitter you can also get paid to tweet. Email me for a link if you're interested in that.
