can you transfer the internet from your G1 cellphone to your laptop?

I'm not sure what provider you are using. Basically, you want to use your cell phone as a modem. It would be best to contact your provider and ask which phones they support as modems. T-Mobile supports Blackberries as modems. You have to buy the internet for the Blackberry and then you can plug it into your laptop to get internet access.

try pdanet.. you have to download it from a computer and transfer to the g1...

or you can root the phone and use wifi tether.rooting is hacking the phone and loading up a custom rom.
