Has twitter been shut down ?
I heard that twitter had been deleted so i tried to get on it and it says the page has been displayed.

They were hit with a Denial of Service attack. I think it's back up now.

No, it hasn't. It was attacked yesterday or the day before by some idiot(s) who think they're clever ... as were Bebo and another social networking site.
It is back online now. Try clicking the link below. I had no trouble getting to the page. |

It was down but now they've got it back up. Apparently someone hacking into Twitter’s internal admin tools and compromising 33 high profile accounts, including President Elect Barack Obama, has Twitter users freaking out.

It got hacked (DDOS attack) and was down for a while. They are back online now.
