why does my twitter account keep sending random spam?

My account sends random dms to people about "check out this blog about you" and "miracle diets" and the thing is I've already disabled all outside connections and reset my password into something no one would figure out. So why is it still doing it?

Two things are possible - a third party app you have linked to your account has hijacked your account for its own personal use, or you have been hacked by someone else. Change your password immediately to something much stronger; this will probably stop it.

To disable third party access to your account, do the following:

1) Log into Twitter and click Settings
2) On the Applications tab, deauthorize everything you find there.
3) Clear your browser cache (this link will help you do that: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ya...gs-15.html ), then log out and sign back in again.
