Can you delete a twitter account?
I'm thinking about getting a twitter account, but if I decide I don't want it I want to delete it. I just want to make sure that I can delete it, before I start an account.

Yes you can delete an account. If you go to the bottom left of the screen on the settings page it says "Delete my account".

No, you cannot. Apparently, this is an issue they don't make you aware of when you sign up. When you try to delete your account, it gives you an error message stating that this function is temporarily disabled (since August, 2007). I guess working on this issue isn't their first priority.
