Is their a market for up and coming businesses in clothing to make it big ?
I would like to set up and build my own clothing brand ?
do you think it viable ?
and what will make me stand out from the other hundred of thousand who try ?

And is their anything else that can propel me into something bigger and better ?

I just want to change my life and the others of people around me for the better and will feel i have failed if i don't do it

First of all it is ridiculous to feel an economic failure at just 19. I just think you need to get a sense of proportion. And unfortunately much patience will be required by you.

Now that's out of the way, all markets are either 'mass' market or 'niche' market.

IMO, it is nowadays almost impossible for startups to sell to the masses. Reasons being at least these:
global pay competition; the Web becoming dominated by a few multi-nationals; and the recession much affecting consumer spending power.

The major players (the big brands) are themselves contracting, yet they still survive due to their name, effective Worldwide distribution methods and 'economies of scale' allowing discount etc.

However, there are niches online which are still possible. It will entail you contracting a talented fashion designer and a sizeable number of machinists.

To be able to afford a good designer (I'm assuming you have no capital) there are however thousands of under- and unemployed fashion designers. Some will be very talented. You need to find one and win their trust and loyalty. To work with you (not for you) over several years before both your earnings are even comfortable.

To save on costs viz. premises, rates and rent, you might be able to build a network of home workers. However, to win their dedication, and to receive quality-made garments, do *not* just pay 'piecemeal'. Give the machinists at least a Minimum Wage basic, plus bonuses so that they can have a living wage.

To coordinate and manage these dozens of workers, use new technology. Obviously mobile or smart phones. Communicate via text and even private Twitter timelines, plus maybe use webcams (eg. Skype).

So what to sell? I advise some sort of small garment. Say hats, socks, underwear, but distinctively different from the mainstream. This could be the colour range, patterns, material or possibly some in-built utility. One being men's socks or underpants having a secret pocket!

Whatever you manufacture, you must base it on intensive market research. Ask your local government advisors to start your Business Plan for you. Also you can learn how to do these plans and MR from books and online. Alternatively, commission a business or marketing graduate to do this for you. It may take several weeks though.

And once you decide your exact niche, you must promote your business. As you are going to be Internet-only, use this to educate the masses to buy from you. And you alone. If you don't have this knowhow, the same graduate, or a digital marketeer, can much help.

To conclude, don't be so hard on yourself, treat this most seriously, focus on gradual growth and then enjoy the fruits of your labour....
