How do we force free market capitalism on a country?
Taxes are getting too damn high and I hate having to pay for other people's welfare. We need free market capitalism and we are obviously going to need to fight and force it on our country. What can the average person do to promote it to the public?? We might need to trick a few people, but it will be all worth it.

Very few economists believe in the pure classical notion of zero government intervention and no taxation. Look up John Maynard Keynes.

It might be hard for the UK to reduce the social framework, because your neighboring countries are mostly socialism. But the UK is generous enough to offer the rights for dual nationalities. You might move out somewhere which less socialism such as in South and Southeast Asia. You will feel the bit of competition with and without referee. That's I can assure you.

Although I'm pro free market, I don't think force is the way to go. Unless you are willing to violate many human rights and freedoms. Kill a few there silence a few here (prison or "dissappear"). Then sure go ahead. Just remember force breeds rebellion and you could potentially create extremist and split the country in two. One free market other Communist. And then theres the fact that everyone around the world will be witnessing what is occuring and possibly blame the free marketeers (just a theory) then we lose support all over the world as did the communist when Russia used force. Who knows the U.N. might even give you an embargo as a present. The only reason why Augusto Pinochet was able to pull off his coup was due to the support of the U.S. C.I.A. You can't use force and expect to get away with it. The media will be on you like hawks, we have internet now too so the whole world is connected. And who knows you may not win, the Communist might.
The key is persuasion. No "tricks" leave that to the elitist. Educate yourself and others around you about free markets and perhaps other economic and political systems. Politicians don't stand for anything. They stand for whatever the people stand for. If the majority of people are communist then the politicians will implement communism. If the majority of the people are capitalist then politicians will implement capitalism. Forcing implementation of capitalism will only force communist underground making your job much harder. Atleast when you allow them freedom of association and speech you will know who they are and what they're up to. But...heres a much simple solution...You can just leave to somewhere else. |
