The only price I would be willing to pay for your freedom and mine is my life. Freedom does not come cheaply.

I don't think our freedoms are excessive. If anything, I think they've been chipped away at over the years. I'm pretty sure the founding fathers would be rolling in their graves right now.

The world's economy is struggling right now, not just ours, and many countries -- especially in Europe -- are in worse shape. As far as enemies, the United States has always had nations and people around the world who want to destroy us. And our social problems aren't anywhere near as bad as those in France, as an example, where they still have Muslims rioting in the streets and burning cars.

I don't think you can have too much. And i think the soldiers that have died for you to have that freedom would be rolling in their graves to hear this said. My husband serves our great country and has gone to war and thankfully come home again. I think our sacrifices for your freedom might have been too much, but we do not have too much freedom.

these problems aren't a price of freedom, actually it is the other way around. It is the cost of regulation. Price fixing. Creating money out of thin air and the fractal banking system through the fed reserves (again, another regulation). The free market while it has ups and downs, you cannot ever control the market, so when you try to control it to minimize the downs, you end up with a big depression as the market tries to fix itself.

Enemies world wide, again not freedom, this is us getting involved with other nations as a government, which is not freedom.

Almost all of these things you listed are government problems.

There is no excessive freedom. Tyranny is no better. Govt rule is not the sollution. Do you think we would be as prosperous if we did not have the freedom to succeed and fail? Our enemies dislike us bc we do not crush our citizens with laws. They do not like us bc we have freedom to be immoral or to worship a god they do not believe in. Our enemies hate us bc we are free and successful. Geesh!
