How did the government operate before 1913 when there was no income tax?

That was a more honest and simpler period of time. Government had not expanded out of control and our elected officials truly worked for the benefit of the people.

Dishonesty and greed has replaced common sense. Government today does not work for the people they work to get as much as they possibly can for themselves before they are forced to leave office.

For the first time in history we have a governing body that feels that there is something in our constitution that allows them to force the people to purchase insurance. This government does not have the power to force the people to purchase anything. They really need to get to work resolving our unemployment problems, our economic problems and get ridiculous out of control spending resolved. Spending money that does not exist is a diagram for disaster.
