What are some alternatives to social bookmarking to drive website traffic?

I use hubpages and would to to increase traffic by a lot. I do social bookmark, but find many sites are not as good as some. I may only use a few social bookmarking sites. Are there other alternatives?

I know you can ping, but you can't just do that. I am going to sign up for shetoldme.com and perhaps a few other revenue generating sites, but what else can i do for traffic regularly

I live off of articles! Articles are a fantastic method of traffic, quality backlinks and more. I usually write up 1 article daily and submit with some life saving article software. The software creates the accounts, and uploads the articles with hardly a sweat!

You can go PPC.
Do a little research to get some good niche keywords (Market Samurai, Micro Niche Finder may help)
to find the .05 cent keywords too.
You can pick your budget with Google Adwords and such.
