Any advice on how to market my website?

Hello. I'm a 14 year old guy and I've just developed a website. It's not really a social network, but something like it. I feel that there is demand for this sort of site out there. However, if any of you have any ideas as to where I can go or what I can do in order to get this site known and used. Thanks.

Real advertising/marketing costs money. Usually if you have an idea, you have to find funds to pay for marketing, etc...

For you, I think it's best if you go though free channels. Try using Social Media to promote your site. MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. Make a group in each, invite some people, tell them about your idea and invite them to try it out. Word of mouth is where it's at. Let your friends and fans do the marketing for you.
