How much will marketing my website help me with sales?
Hello.
I'm thinking of marketing my website (http://www.kickitdeals.com) on sites such as youtube, making videos for football equipment and google adwords. Currently we are the only dedicated soccer/football store in Australia and have lower prices , so I believe that having an ad would help alot...

Anyway give me your thoughts, thanks!

Hey,

Mraketing your website will help your sale alot. The reason is beacause you have more more people looking at your items.

The cheapest and easiest way for you to market your website is with google web search. This will help more people view your web site. So what you need is a SEO.

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results for targeted keywords. Usually, the earlier a site is presented in the search results or the higher it "ranks", the more searchers will visit that site. SEO can also target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines.

As a marketing strategy for increasing a site's relevance, SEO considers how search algorithms work and what people search for. SEO efforts may involve a site's coding, presentation, and structure, as well as fixing problems that could prevent search engine indexing programs from fully spidering a site. Other, more noticeable efforts may include adding unique content to a site, ensuring that content is easily indexed by search engine robots, and making the site more appealing to users. Another class of techniques, known as black hat SEO or spamdexing, use methods such as link farms and keyword stuffing that tend to harm search engine user experience. Search engines look for sites that employ these techniques and may remove them from their indices.

The initialism "SEO" can also refer to "search engine optimizers", terms adopted by an industry of consultants who carry out optimization projects on behalf of clients, and by employees who perform SEO services in-house. Search engine optimizers may offer SEO as a stand-alone service or as a part of a broader marketing campaign. Because effective SEO may require changes to the HTML source code of a site, SEO tactics may be incorporated into web site development and design. The term "search engine friendly" may be used to describe web site designs, menus, content management systems, URLs, and shopping carts that are easy to optimize.

The best SEO right now is " GOOGLE SEO MAGIC"

Trust me it is worth it. Read all the information about how people have use this program.

You could also think about writing articles, and getting them published in places like ezine articles, and others. Write something that you think would be of interest to readers who are into what you are selling. Don't try to sell them in the article, inform them, give them valuable information.

Make sure you have lots of good keywords relevant to your business in the article, so the search engines will rank you. Then when people are searching for information your article will come up in the search. You can have an "about the author" section at the end of your ad, with a link back to your business website.

Another thing you can do is start a blog about your business and your niche. Search engines love good informative blogs. You can have links back to your website in the blog comments.

hope this helps

Online advertising will work the best

In online advertising there are two major distinctions, paid and not paid (FREE). Paid online advertising is easy to understand. You have banners placed on other websites or emails that are sent to an email mailing list and you have pay per click (PPC) which is you paying for an ad placement on another website or search engine. The placement is charged a fee with a fluctuating rate for each click to your ad that takes a prospective customer to your website.

Banner ad placement works best when there is a limited capacity offer such as a short supply of a product or service or you have a limited amount of time for the offer. Banners are normally more expensive so its a better idea to have a banner for a trip to Vegas or next weeks rock concert than a landscaper service in June.

PPC is good for most small business advertising but unfortunately if its not done the right way, it can be quite expensive. PPC, if done right can bring a very high return on investment (ROI) and can catapult your business from nothing, to a steady stream of customers in a short period of time, at a fraction of other advertising methods.

Unpaid or free advertising in most cases will not cost you money, but it will cost you time. If done correctly and thoroughly, certain aspects of free advertising for your small business will take many hours to perfect. The most effective forms of free advertising are search engine optimization (SEO) and social networking.

SEO in simple terms is building your online presence to provide the best chance of being seen by search engines such as Yahoo® and primarily Google®. This is done in 4 primary steps:

1. Establish keywords for the basis of creating content
2. Building content around and about your keywords
3. Linking to and from similar websites with good content
4. Adding more content based on keywords

Notice the focus is on your websites' content in all four steps.
SEO is not easy because it it perpetually evolving and it involves setting a plan in motion, then waiting for results, while working it for different angles behind the scenes. In the end you still have no control over how your results are presented, only the search engines have it. Your SEO work is never done and it is time consuming, but with the right strategy and implementation, you will achieve great success. For more information visit our website section on SEO: 7 Steps to an Effective SEO Advertising Strategy.

For social networking, its a little different than SEO but its basis, free online advertising, and the end result, a very high ROI, are the same. Social networking is establishing a presence on a community based website, or creating a community on your own website. Social networking provides you with not only free advertising but a constant source of communication with your customers, and potential customers. Using social networking relies on tapping into the organic interest people will generally have in the content you provide. Social networking websites are growing at a rapid pace, and the amount of time people spend on those websites makes it more likely you will be exposed to more people. Establishing your presence on a social networking website should be consistent with your overall web presence and if done right will only enhance your small business footprint online.

Ask for subsidy support from brand manufacturers, they may even supply 2 minute commercials that can easily have your URL as a tag at the end.

Go for humour if you can, that works well on youtube.
Go for quality branding to readers to your website, then once at your site, entice them with the specials you offer of the qualty brands.

Do not go for budget branding. I think sport is a passion to who follows it. Sell to wants not needs.

You may have the cheapest prices but it is the passion that makes people part with money.

Get them hooked, then make them feel they are special to your store by "valued customer" discount, it works all the time.
