I am an artist who promotes my own and others work, I do workshops but thinking of stopping although that part is doing well. I have had so many losseswith break ins and the rent is just too high. I have a small client base and really started growing, but I cannot afford any more loss. So my question really is...do you think online will work?

it can work, but it is going to be slow-payback.
anyway, it is smart to don online for time being. then u could start your own shop againe after the economy is on normal way. anyway there is not so much customer now. it is not smart spend so much on rent.

i am from china with 18 years trading experiences. pls contact me if u need any merchants in quantity.
good luck!

Working online can be easy and profitable, but I find that the vast majority of people have no clue what they are doing, and ultimately lose money online.

The most important thing online is marketing. (That is what I do for a living.) Try some of the following sites to find cheap labor to build and host your site, but save money to spend on PROMOTION! Just having a site means nothing if nobody visits.

Also, once you have your site, come back to Yahoo Answers and tell people about it. Also go to Digg.com, Buzzfeed, twitter, facebook, clipmarks, and any other site that you can think of and PROMOTE YOURSELF SHAMELESSLY!

Anyhow, here are my favorite places to find people to do the online work for you.
