Because they're not communists. Democrats support a mixed-market capitalist economy. I have yet to see any politician advocate collective ownership of any business.

Politicians do not want voters to know they are communists or atheists because they probably would not get re-elected.
Thalia's definition of communists describes Obama and most of the other Democrats.
