Where is there a free market utopia?
If the free market is so great and so awesome, can someone please give me an example or a country were it works? The United States is not a free market. Additionally the more "FREE" it gets the worst it becomes. Between the 1940 and 1980 when the US was the richest and most powerful the U.S. had on average 30% tariffs, strong social programs, good employee protection, unions, good consumer protections and 90% tax on the wealthy etc etc etc etc.

I can give you an example of the free market system at work and what happens: Somalia!

Not a country (Somalia is a form of government like Aristocracy, which was widely practiced in middle ages Europe. And some small tribal dictatorships.)

But Hong Kong is the result from probably the most free free market history has ever seen. See, it's not that bad.

stop trying to paint free market as "The evil child killing oil barons". It's a structure that plays off humans most prevalent and greatest flaw, that being greed. We all want to live a better lives, and in doing so in a free market, you are forced to make the quality of life around you improve as well.

But a healthy mix of Free Market and moral control leads to great things (1950's)

EDIT: but in reply, yes, too much of a good thing is bad. IE - USSR or 1880-1919 USA(child labor)
