How do you delete a tweet from twitter?

I have some offensive tweets I'd like to delete from someone I was following on twitter but I can't figure out how to do it. I'm not sure if it's even possible. Is there a way to delete a tweet from someone if not then I'm closing my twitter account. If there is a way to delete a tweet twitter makes it difficult.

you just click delete....

You can't delete other people's tweets, to delete your own you move your mouse over the tweet and click the bin and the top right hand corner. You can block people by going on to their page and clicking the settings thing beside the lists and clicking block. The person wont be allowed on your page or tweet and dm you.
