How can I hide some of my tweets from my followers?

On twitter, or with a different program, is there a way to hide some of my tweets from my followers? Specifically, if i write @ someone, can I hide that tweet from someone else who follows me?

I suggest you just DM (Direct Message) your message. only you and the person you send it to can read it. go to their profile page and click "Message" on the right. then type in whatever you want.
