Not getting ringtone for direct messages from Twitter?

Hi, everyone!

When I receive direct messages from Twitter, I get the notification, but my ringtone for it doesn't go off. I've tried setting it in the Mobile settings on Twitter, and yet it still doesn't work. Any apps or something else I could try to make my notification sound work?
Also, my phone is a LG Ally by Verizon, if that helps.

I know it's probably not the same as the iPhone 4s, but I have an iPhone and there's notification settings. If i want to recieve notifications from a certain app, I can turn it on or off. Try finding something like that on your phone. If not, try settings on Twitter and find whatever is related to recieving noti. from there to your phone.

open your twitter app for android, click on the ME tab, click on settings (last option) now check the box sound effects. thats it.

NOW, also go to settings >> sounds, and check that Notification Ringtone is selected.
