How to become a good marketer in the entertainment field?

One of the first things you need to do before you market anything is realize your "target" market. This means who will be your majority buyer; people 60+, people 18-21, people that work for hospitals, smokers, men, woman, girls, people with GMC cars etc. etc. etc. it can go in all different directions just depends on the product or service.......

Once you establish this then you find the main spots to get to that target market. There are many many ways to advertise but is that advertising getting to your target market....it's great to keep your name out that but the first thing when you're new and seeking exposure to the public is that target market because this is how you get your money back invested and grow bigger then you can start putting your name and company in other places just to pull out extra customers and interest and keep people knowing your name and what you do so that you don't waste money..you wouldn't want to spend money to advertise life insurance for consumers 60+ at your local skating rink on teen night sure it may pick up a few grandparents dropping off their kids but not likely now on the otherhand you would want to pay for advertising to 60+ on bingo night though (get it?)......Now if you're looking in the entertainment field to market upcoming cd's, appearances, etc. go to where people hang out for entertainment: online would be places like myspace, facebook, twitter, tagged, etc. all this "friend oriented communities....join them and grab as many friends as you can then continue to update them daily on what's going on and then there's always places like craigslist and backpage to post upcoming events and releasing......if there's a way to buy from you online show that as well........offline you can get in contact with nightclubs, go to a local printer and print up some flyers and get to posting them everywhere that tarket market will be.....also magazines that target market reads look into advertising in that.....

You can go on and on when it comes to advertising but some of these are your most cheapest and probably fastest ways to get some exposure on what you're promoting......but the main thing is to just key in on what that target market will be so that you can pull out more interest faster to sell those cds and stuff.....
