What is the best way/best places for me to advertise for events? (I want to work @ events as a vendor)?

I am looking for Weddings, events, social gatherings, school reunions, quinceneras, school dances, etc.....
I have a service to offer (specialized event photography) and what is the best place to advertise for these types of things besides craigslist?

I would say you have a number of different options. One of the most money-saving and more efficient and effective ways, in my opinion, would be to use social media tools to build awareness of your company (or services). Definitely make a Facebook page for your business, possibly a Twitter account, and once you've done a couple events, start a blog. Research where your potential clients are online and meet them there. Gather reader interest and become known in online communities, and the people will start coming to you!

Another option you have is to reach out to event companies or hotels/resorts that host weddings and offer to provide photography services for a couple events for free or show them some of your previous work. You can then have them recommend you as a vendor to their clients.

A final option, if you have the extra $, would be to hook up with an advertising company that could provide you with direct mail pieces or internet marketing (ie. AdWords, banner ads, etc.)
