Is there a way to automatically tweet links of new posts from my WordPress blog to my Twitter account, so that my followers can get to my posts easier?

Yes, there is a way to automatically tweet links of your new posts from your WordPress blog to your twitter account. You can do this with a plugin called "Twitter Tools", which you can download at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/twitter-tools.

Once you have gone through the plugin installation & setup process, you can select the option to "Post to Twitter" from within the "Add/Edit Posts" section. In addition, you will also have the ability to create tweets from the "Posts" section and directly from your website if you choose to embed the Twitter Tools widget into your theme's sidebar.

And if you're on wordpress.com and can't install stuff, go to Dashboard/My Blogs and tick Twitter in the Publicize column.
