Why cant you send private messages to celebs on twitter?

Probably because celebs would get completely BOMBARDED with messages, so they probably only allow messages from the people they follow on twitter, not from people who follow them.

they should follow you first. there's no way you can send them private message (Direct message) if they don't follow you on twitter.

Hi Stephen,

In order for you to send some one a direct message, that person must be following you back. Now we all know our celebrities are too busy to do that lol. Since they don't follow you back you cannot send them a Direct Message or anyone for that matter who does not follow you back.

You can always send them an @ message, even if they are not following you back. However I suggest not wasting your time doing that. Instead make some good connections that'll help you in many ways.
