I just started my own engineering company. Focusing mainly on commercial/ residential building designs (engineering perspective) and I need some suggestion on how I can market myself to get more customers. Any tips and hints would help.

Placing your business location on the online yellow pages
Putting a profile on linkedin.com
Do a search for engineering forums and network with others in your field
Search for networking gatherings in your community
Make a list of companies you would like to work for, and send brochures over to the company.
Ask family and friends about any opportunities they might know
Join social networking sites
Build a facebook fanpage for your company
Write articles about your industry and get them placed on article directory sites
Write a press release and get it put on a press release site
Look for your local small newspapers( like the alternative papers) and call. Try to get them to do a story about your business
Put flyers in your local supermarkets
Contact your state's and city's chamber of commerce and find out how you can get listed
