Does it cost money to send and recieve tweets from twitter?

My friend is a big twitter user and she told me that it costs money to receive and send tweets to twitter from a mobile phone, so i'm just making sure, does it cost money?

It depends on two things: how you're sending them and the details of your mobile plan.

If you're going to twitter.com directly using the phone, it adds to your bandwidth usage.

If you're sending or receiving tweets via SMS, it counts as a text message either way.

If you have unlimited bandwidth or unlimited txt, you could be tweeting for free.
