Why do i randomly follow people on Twitter?

I am following only five people, so it is easy for me to tell if i follow someone. But then out of nowhere I automatically follow someone that I have NEVER seen. i Know that my account hasn't been hacked because i made the account just yesterday. Can someone shed some light on the situation. Its like twitter is forcing you to follow people you don't want to!

Stop following them and change your password. If the problem persists, contact Twitter. It should not make you follow people you don't want to. Hope I helped!

it happened to me once, i was on the computer and my account automatically follow random people who i have no idea who it is, you probably opened a random link that leads to nowhere, those links are hacks that makes you follow random people so i opened a forum i can't remember which, and it told me to do the following steps

1st, Clear your browsers cache
it is important to clear your browsers cache, i have no idea why.

2nd, Change your password
It is really necessary to change your password, the scammer probably now knows your password, so you'll need to change it

3rd, change the email address you're using for that account,

4th, you'll also need to change your username, (optional)

try this, if it didn't work and you keep on following people, then google the problem
