What are some Pros of Social Networking for businesses?

Hey, I'm doing a presentation about this and needed a little more information. Some of the stuff I found was good and some was bad since it was very out-dated. So I would love to have some more up to date things. Please and Thank You.

I'm only 16 and do business studies but a pro is that your reaching out to some of your target audience and capturing them also its free

A negative is that if bad stuff gets out it will spread really quickly and could damage the business more.

Another pro is that you can keep in touch with your target market but it could also be seen as annoying and your pestering them.

Personally I feel social networking is the best way forward becausee its cheap and reaching out to your target market its also so big at the moment that its such a good way of getting out to your market and its really quick
