Why is my twitter sending people spam?
Hi,

A while back I linked my twitter account up to some websites and one of them started posting my tweets as 'I lost 10 pound with this amazing diet' and direct messaging loads of people saying 'I LOLd when I saw this picture of you...'.
It's really annoying me and losing me loads of followers. I changed my password completely and I revoked all the access from the websites I allowed but it's still doing it!

Why is it doing this and how can I stop it?

Change your password immediately, and email twitter support.

Changing passwords is the big thing. Make sure its sonething people wont guess.

Also, ONLY sign in on Twitter sites. Check the URL before you log in & make sure it says twitter.com
Some sites tell you to log back into Twitter as it logged you out. Without thinking you log back in, actually its a fake site made to hack your account. 9/10 people use tbe same passwords for their email, twitter, facebook, tumblt etc

Make all passwords different

If you did indeed revoke all access to your account plus you did change your password, then you should do two important things.

Report the website and describe twitter the problem you are having they can investigate better and advise you. Use their support site mentioned below this answer.

And second: scan your computer for malware and spyware. Programs like AVG and others should help you to make sure you have not downloaded something that is actually sitting on your computer and acting in the background that you are not aware of.
