How to get more legit followers on Twitter?

Nowadays, some random person follows me on Twitter, and then 2 months later they unfollow me! And when I check their profile, their bios always show some marketing link or some porn site. PLEASE HELP!!!!

- tweet interesting stuff, some self promotion is OK but not a whole lot

- put a link to your twitter account where relevant, such as in an email signature or on a messaging board. also putting it in different profiles and directories is helpful as well. a good one is http://wefollow.com/

- make sure your profile is complete (a photo of yourself or something cool , a little bio too so people know what you're about.) Twitter backgrounds are also a cool way to make sure your profile is complete.

Got to sites like SocialBuilders.net I used them and was pleasantly surprised that everything went as they said it would and I have so many followers now

It's better you search for the people who are in your niche or similar to you. They will be your real followers.
