How do you market a website?

I own a web design company and an ecommerce website. How do you market these websites? I have tried Online marketing and the customers I got were just a bunch of teens and college students who cannot pay my service and my products. I expect older customers and more businesses to use my services.

Try advertising in the local newspaper. Also, print out business cards and brochures to mail to businesses in the area. I started offering design services at 16 just from Myspace. I ended up working for 2 years for a band, then for its record company. I then got an offer to do design for a promotions company based in Ireland. There's lots of different ways to market.

Write an article related to your business and submit it to the article directories is one of the effective way to bring millions of customers visit to your website. Try to advertise it through free ad websites...

Basically they let you post free ads or really well placed ads fopr a small fee. The cool thing is that whether you decide to do free posting or not you get an extra back link to your website plus you are able to advertise.
