I can only recommend search engine optimization. Unless you are already famous, branded, social media marketing can be frustrating. You may get some courtesy visits from friends but most of them could be marketers who are more interested in promoting their own offers.

Mass emailing systems are like traffic exchanges. Most people click on your links or view your sites just to earn advertising credits. These untargeted clicks will only waste you bandwidth. Worse, you could experience spam complaints.

It's another story, of course, if you are building a list and emailing that list.

SEO takes time and a lot of work, more so in the off-page aspect. But try to learn and implement it. You will get better traffic in the long run.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

I agree with website optimization. You are not going to get traffic by advertising on facebook and myspace. If you have the capital to spend and you know your target market then you could try ad words, but if your not an established business and know what your doing then that avenue will probably just be a waste of your money.

Free ways of advertising off of the internet, fliers in public areas with detachable portions with your website address, so that people can take them with them...this will only be useful to a limited population in your immediate vicinity, but really you have only got 7 hits so far, so what can it hurt?

No. You can not every user to visit your site.
You will get benefit from all users who visits your site, but those who actively responds to your site like registering with the site or doing what is desired from him will fetch you good results
The effective user will get registered and do the needful action on your site. so you have to categorize your site properly and it should match with interest of majority of online visitors.

Online marketing is vast and there is so much you can do. One method which works for one may not work for other. You can try these proven white hat strategies:

* basic SEO is must
* article marketing
* press releases
* forums, discussion groups etc (yahoo answers, SUN)
* blogs (ones where your target audience frequently visit)
* social networks (facebook etc)
* online classifieds (craigslist etc)
* social bookmarking (redit, stumble, etc)
* word-of-mouth techniques to spread the word on products - you can try tell a friend widget.
