you just have to get yourself out where people can see you work for free and show them how good you are. Think fairs and busy public places.

Firstly...network, network, network! Tell your friends, your famil, acquaintances, business associates...anyone! Ask them to pass on the information to anyone they think might be interested. Leave flyers and business cards at places where you think people who are interested in what you are selling will frequent. I got my business off the ground through word of mouth and promoting it on social networking websites (facebook).
Believe in your product...or in your case, believe in your abilities. It would be helpful if you could "be" what you are selling. If you're trying to sell me a tan, I'm going to be checking out yours, you know? You might also want to try having a promotional day or afternoon, where you give away free tans/tattoos to get clients interested. I know this can be expensive, but its worked for me in that it builds a good base to work up from, it gets people coming back and it helps with getting word about yourself out there. I hope this helps, best of luck! |
