is Twitter free? does it cost money to make or do something on Twitter?

i want to make a twitter account but i am not sure its free. i now it costs money if u want to get it on your ipod touch or other device...So does it cost money? and can you tell me a bit about twitter? is it like facebook?

Twitter is absolutely free. There is also an app for iphones and ipod touch that's free as well, called Twitterific. Twitter is nothing like facebook. It is basically like a blog where people post what they're doing all the time. You could also share pictures with your followers and send private messages and stuff. There's basically nothing else except some people use it to follow celebrities..

yeah, it's free.
you just update your status on twitter. and you can follow celebrities and stuff and look at their status, and see pictures they post, etc.
