Role of government in a totally free market economy?
In a totally free market or capitalist economy, what role does the government have? Would government exist? I have a Social Final Exam tomorrow, so I was just wondering. With no need for government regulation, would we need government?

The government would be primarily involved in protecting private property under the law.

In a totally free economy, the government would only be interested in enforcing contracts and preventing the use of force and fraud.

In order for a free market to exist, one must be secure in his ability to own property. This includes contract law, police forces, and rules for publicly held companies.

Without government regulation ,market economy usher to civl war.
No regulation means no order.
We ctizen commit government to regulate market in exchange with abstaining our inherent nature of greed.
