New twitter account, howz it work?

Opened a twitter account, cant figure out how to post messsages. There is a letter box for me to write in but there is no way to send or post it, and of course no information in the help section.

There should be a post button on the bottom right of the box.

There should be an UPDATE icon there in order to post. Go to your Twitter homepage then write on the box and click update.
