How do I drive traffic to my WordPress website?

I created a website using WordPress recently. Even though WordPress makes things simpler I still put in a lot of long hours making my website. Now here's the question. How do I get traffic?
I think my site is actually pretty good, but that doesn't mean anything if no one can see it.

I think Social networking can play very important role in increasing quality traffic.Use twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+ to share your post and find new connections.Other than this you can go for SEO,email marketing,google adword,PPC etc.
For doing SEO the first step you should take is to do keyword search.Figure out what key words and phrases are going to be important to your site then optimize your site for that keywords.After that go for both on page and off page SEO techniques like link building.ink building plays an important role in improving your traffic.Consider some link building tactics like directory submission,social bookmarking,press release,article submission,forum and blog commenting,participate in communities where your audience already gather,guest blogging etc.
