Erm ... wouldn't Avon have told you all this when you approached them to be an Avon Lady? They give you all the information, training and products to get started!?!

I am a full time college student, and married mother of three children, if I could do this so can you. The cost to join Avon is only $20, unlike MaryKay and some of direct sales companies you do not have to have parties or buy products up front. Avon allows you to order products at no cost to you upfront until after you have collected the money from your customers.

Here's a little more info for you:

After three years with Avon, I can honestly say that I have been able to earn $500 every two weeks. This is not to say that the money comes easy, it takes alot of work in the beginning to earn this over time but you do have to be consistent and work towards your business on a daily basis. I have a team of more than 150 reps throughout the United States on my team.

There are two ways to earn with Avon. You can earn money by becoming a high seller or like me where I help other people start their Avon businesses in addition to selling, the choice is yours.

I hope I was able to provide you with some insight but if you happen to have any other questions please feel free to contact me directly.

Not sure if you are aware you can now sign yourself up online to become a representative and that information can be found on my profile page. Big Grin

Just FYI it's $20 to sign up with Avon.

Avon is the world's leading direct seller of beauty and related products, with over $10 billion in annual revenues. Avon markets to women around the world through over five million independent sales Representatives. Avon product lines include such recognizable brand names as Avon Color, Anew, Skin-So-Soft, Avon Solutions, Advance Techniques Hair Care, Avon Naturals, Mark, and Avon Wellness. Avon also markets an extensive line of fashion jewelry and apparel.

1.Sign up to become an Avon Independant Sales Representative. You can go to http://www.youravon.com/cguthrie to sign up.

2.You will be contacted about starting your own business. The best part.....it only costs $10 to start! You will be supplied with everything you need to start (instruction manual, brochures, samples, Avon bag, etc). You are not required to buy anything in order to start or keep your business. It is best to use the products in order to tell others about them. You can get up to 50% off everything you buy. Make a list of everyone you want to sell to. Think of everyone (family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, places you frequent often). You make 40% of everything you sell for the 1st 4 campaigns (each campaign is 2 weeks). That gives you time to build up a client base and techniques that will work for you. The people in your upline are always there to help you. If you need further assistance, you can always call or email Avon directly. With Avon, you can work as much or as little as you want!

3.You will be given account information to set-up your online account (this is how you will submit orders, keep an address book with customers, get training, etc). Sign up to become an E-rep. It is free as long as 1 person buys something on your site. If things are moving slow (which it shouldn't if you let everyone you know about your online store), you can always order something yourself to waive the $7.50 fee for each campaign. You have to select direct shipping for the fee to be waived.

4.Advertise and promote. Go to vistaprint.com and get business cards, stamps (to put on back of brochures), pens, etc. They have a lot of items that are free (shipping only) or very cheap. Send emails to everyone you know with a link to your store. Make flyers and put them up at grocery stores, laundrymats, etc. You can also put bags together with a brochure and a sample to neighbors. Hand out cards to EVERYONE you come in contact with. Add links to your website on myspace, facebook, twitter and other online communities and blog sites. Place ads on free online directories, such as craigslist.com. You can also place ads in other online search directories for free or very cheap (go to http://www.freewebsubmission.com for a list). Make sure you add a signature stamp to your email (with name, website address, phone number, etc) that will automatically be on all outgoing emails.
