the bands i am looking to send to are the lostprophets and madina lake.

Look at it this way. If you had a choice of spending millions of dollars and having the time of your life, or reading mail from sycophant strangers -- which one would you choose?

Don't waste your time writing fan mail. It would be more fulfilling to join a Yahoo group fan site so that you could correspond with other fans of these bands. At least your mail would get read and you'd get replies.

Check on their website or if you have their album, it usually says on the last page of the booklet.

Madina Lake did had their own individual emailaccounts but since a hacker hacked it, they don't use it anymore.

The best thing you can do is add them on twitter and stuff...or send them a message on MySpace (less chance to be read I think)

That's SO not true! It might depend which band it is, though.
Before the hacker I always emailed Madina Lake and I always got replies back.
