If someone creates an anonymous twitter account, can the authorities track the person's IP address?
Someone created a hurtful twitter account that bully's people from my school. I just want to make sure the authorities can catch them, because bullying just makes me so mad. They made it with their phone because they posted a picture of something and it was an iPhone from Ntelos.

They can, but they won't bother tracking it if it isn't a significant crime.

yes. All social media can be traced back thru IP addresses. There is no such thing as a true 'anonymous' Facebook or Twitter account.
