Will you still watch hockey if the whole season is lost?
From what i heard, the NHL has already lost 100,000 followers on twitter. Also, they said that a deal could be done in six hours if they solve the economic issue of the CBA. It sickens me how greedy both sides are being because of the fact that a deal could be made shortly after they solve the money issue. I would stilk watch hockey if they lose some of the season. What about everyone else?

Sorry for my rant

I dont blame both sides on this. I blame the team owners and Bettman 100%. The players already agreed to take pay cuts, but the team owners want them to take a 20% salary cut. Players will not agree to that much, and they shouldnt have to. The TV ratings are up, radio rating are up, attendance is up....So if everything is going up, why should their salary go down? It makes no sense, its the team owners being incredibly freakin greedy. I am a huge hockey fan and have watched every Bruins game for the past 10 years....If they lose the whole season, I will still watch when they come back...But not as often as I used to.

I hate how both sides are just being so selfish when it comes down to this revenue sharing. They aren't thinking outside of themselves.

I will still watch it, but I will not have as much respect for most of the players and owners.

Yes I will watch as soon as I can (as long as it's the real players and not scabs)
It stresses me out that the NHL is losing popularity... It was just starting to spike up again.
@Stan that is so ignorant. Plenty of Americans (like me) love hockey.

Players are being greedy on this one. Another post says everythings going up so why should player salaries go down? well guess what else is going up? COST! Players don't have to cover any of the cost to run a team. If we look at a more telling stat the revenue, which is profit, you'll see that not even a third of the teams are making a profit, and of those (i think there's 8 teams) only about half are making more then 10M. Now I understand that the owners allowed the players to sign these big deals, but the players need to decide if they want the money they signed for and bankrupt the league, or go from (based on the average salaries throughout the league) 2.4M per to 2M per. Frankly, I have absolutely no sympathy for the players who make, on average, $2M a year. Especially considering a lot of these players only have highschool education and would otherwise be making 50-70K a year doing manual labour. You have to remember they get to play a sport as a job. I PAY money every year so that I can play that sport. Gimme a break you spoiled brats.

If they come back I will watch. I will watch college hockey.

Right now I am into the baseball play offs as my favorite team is in the ALDS finals.
